Well the ongoing SAGA continues..
18 days after my visit to the local DVLA office, still no paperwork
Last week they asked for a "certificate of newness" for the Chassis that I promptly sent, Thanks Stuart for your help on that one it was realy appreciated!
So today I rang them to ask what was happening, the good news is that they have approved my paperwork today so I will soon have my reg docs, the bad news was they cannot tell me over the phone whether it will be a Q or a new plate, so I can only hope that I provided enough docs for the new plate accordingly, and it could take up to 5 days to receive it!
I just want to drive it!

My argument with the certs of newness:-
Next time I buy a tv, from a shop, I shall ensure it states
NEW TV...
A receipt from a manufacturer, should be accepted as new, unless stated otherwise.
My engine, at 0 miles, and 5 years of storage, was classed as new. Because, the receipt stated new.
Rant over, glad your sorted.

Yes
I here your point on the cert of newness
Tried to point out that it was part of the original receipt but how do you argue when it is a case of computer says no!
Progress of local office to Swansea for me is not progress for the kit builder as more hoops will need to be jumped I feel
But.....
Time will tell, let's see how long before paperwork arrives!

Hello Andrew, I like the idea of dropping a new engine in the sonic, do you have a web link to the engine you bought or the specs on it so I can look into a similar option for my sonic? Thanks Dr. G

I got my engine from kit parts direct, they had them off the shelf
I see RTR now have some new engines though so I would try them first

Hi everyone
What torques should the hub nuts be front and rear?
Went for a drive and noticed they were slack but tightened them to what it said on the net and it seems to tight
Any advice appreciated

On the drive of with the second picture was taken got some good videos, amusing I pulled out in front of a police man and he followed me for a mile or so, good job he didn't stop and look at the video ;-)

Hi Andrew, I notice you have some nice neat round bonnet catches, do you remember where you got them from. John.
