I hear there are 3 Exocets racing at Snetterton (wet snet)
and one Rocket at Brands this weekend, please let us have info.

The grid was packed (22cars), the weather appalling and the Rocket was out in anger for the very first time.

The result was 9th overall in the first race and 12th overall in the second, beating many far more powerful class A cars and coming first in class overall.

Congrats to Rob Bennett on some excellent driving and to the team at Rogue Motorsport for excellent prep resulting in 100% reliability.

Please find the race results for the first race below. Rob had to start at the back of the grid due to having to qualify out of sequence but came in an amazing 9th posting the 4th fastest lap.

Hi Tim & all potential racing drivers,

We have teamed up with a very successful race team called Rogue Motorsport who run many Toyota MR2's and compete in Britcar24. As they are also passionate about our Rocket & Sonic 7 and see our cars full handling and performance potential, we will work together to put a full grid of MEV's in place in the fullness of time. Come and join us chaps? So we are running our race Rockets and Sonics with Toyota engines and gearboxes, spec to follow soon

On a personal note I have recently passed the National B race licence, so just need to have another race car built as soon as possible as I can not wait to get out there and join Rob. I cant stand on the side watching him have all the fun ;DSo if any of you guys fancy racing a Rocket or Sonic in the 750 Motor Club Sports Specials class then pm me for details or call me at RTR. I will also be delighted to discuss my experience on passing the National B and offer advice on how to get a race licence.

Yes, it was me on Nutz! First ever race, in monsoon conditions, and got a win!
Second race was a 2nd place, and now in the process of replacing the blown engine
I'll update my thread when I get chance, currently spending every waking minute working or in the garage working on the car!

Fantastic Stewpot, very well done, that must have been a very exciting time for you, sorry to hear about the engine. Will you be able to trailer it to Stoneleigh? There won't be any other race Exocets present as Ma5daracing can't make it now.

Thanks The engine's just part of the course. We've got a couple spare. I was speaking to Pete at ma5daracing about a couple of chassis mods to make the job easier, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on them... I'll start a post on the Exocet section.

Stoneleigh's looking very doubtful unless by some miracle we can get the spare engine serviced, back in and all running on Saturday, as we're at Anglesey next weekend.

Stuart, Hoping to meet up with you at the Anglesey round, I was out on the Anglesey track on Easter Sunday but managed to crash my KTM and mash myself up a bit - broken seven ribs, collar bone and my shoulder blade ! My build is on hold at the moment
So long as I get a chauffeur then I hope to be cheering you on bud

Just checked the race timetable for tomorrow and it looks like the mx150R's were racing on Saturday only? is this correct?? I was looking forward to seeing them race and have arranged to go on Sunday

We were. Had a really good race till one of the Mk1s got in the way.
New wing/nosecone ordered and managed to get a replacement steering rack, master cylinder and assorted other parts replaced trackside.
