Hi tR1kers, I thought it was about time i wrote my first post,
after seeing the demo tR1ke at the showes and in kit car mags i checked out this forum, your build diaries are fantastic and for a total novice like me helped me to take the plunge, so i put a deposit down for a kit and bought a doner bike, paul said last week in feb for build slot, so not long now. So far i've fitted a hi spec spot caliper to the swingarm and a barnett clutch as well, i will put pics of build on forum once i've sussed how too. cheers kev

Excellent news, more TR1KE owners :-)
I can't wait to get mine back, well I can, I need to tidy my garage of all the off cuts of steel and alloy, and crap collected just in case I needed it :-)

Excellent, mounting position, I was thinking to use the same one as it would have allowed me to utilise the original bracket for the cable. I do like your bracket, and intend to make a much nicer billet bracket.

That's how my bracket would look like within a few weeks LOL!! An other option I have is to weld a bracket inside the swingarm. Personally I don't dig spacers (not having a lathe for one reason)
is this the 7.1:1 ratio?

Hi erik, yes it is the 7-1 ratio lever its the one hi spec recommend for lightweight cars. I need to make a sturdy outer cable holder and long enough so the cable clears the wheel spindle.
does anyone know the thread type on the hi spec calipers and the master cylinder for the hydraulic lines. I am going to have a go at makeing my brake lines with a kit from venhill. Im trying to get as many things in place for when i get the kit but its a bit difficult without a kit to take measurments from........thanks in advance if anyone can help. kev.

Looks really good! But how were you planning to let the cable run?

I thought the tread in the caliper is M10x1

I am thinking about ordering a higher ratio because I have read Venom, edwin and anglais struggled to get good stopping force on the pads. Perhaps the leverage on the handbrake lever isn't low enough for this caliper. An other reason for chosing a larger ratio is for easier routing the cable on the outside of the swingarm.

I have no problem whatsoever in braking force, and I use the standard caliper... Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using ProBoards
