Goodness gracious. Finally :-)
Well done, my fuel one way valves work great, yes the location for them is the daftest location for sure. My Facet fuel pump is mounted low behind my seats and works great.

Yes the mods I need to go through are really needed. Without them it'll be a pain to control the beast . There isn't any pimping planned in future. The only thing which might be worth reconsidering is a vertical tube+cap to place a ART chain in. Might be a good accesoirie when parked outside. The pump will be mounted on the lower left chasis tube behind the left tank. The fittings on the pump are placed ideal for routing the hoses. Unfortunately the fitting angles made it impossible to mount mine under the seat. I have been through this for a week to find the sweet spot for this thing during the build. I am reconsidering to add an additional T-fitting in between the tank hose to make it easier to tap out fuel for maintenance if needed but i am wondering if this is worth the effort. I'm not sure how to deal with the throttle pedal leverage for this moment. I am keen on making an exponential linkage which makes low rpm range on a broader pedal leverage. The valves will be placed on the fuel caps. Those are the highest locations of the tank already and I am not in need to make a fitting on the tank which if a PITA if not impossible to mount it inside-out. The original tube will be closed with hose, nuts and clamps. It's highly recommended for future costumers to order the tank without these tubes or in front of the caps where the hoses can be clipped to the bulkhead. grtz, Erik

Ok. Found the sprocket ratios edwin and kevin are using: mevowners.proboards.com/thread/1044/tr1ke-build-netherlands-2?page=23Edwin: Standard and old ratio: 43:16 = 2.6875 New ratio: 47:15 = 3.1333 With this new ration the top speed goes down from theoretical 270 km/h to 230 km/h. (For our Imperial oriented readers: 170 mph to 146 mph.) However I believe it will ease the clutch and first gears. Kevin: Surely you will use your speedohealer now With a 15/46 I set mine at -21.2 and it reads the same as my tom tom up to 140mph Can both of you give some comment on these ratios wether they are good for road use or better for track use. I haven't set my tr1ke for track use and my personal preference is road use. Thanks in advance, Erik

Mine is on standard sprockets and works fine, no problems with setting off, about 1800 RPM, and tows fine with this setup too.

I have used 15-46 for road use and find its a good compromise, I never tried it with 16-43 so can't say if the lower gearing gave much of an improved to the initial pulling away. For the short circuits I use 14-50 which does make a noticable improvement when setting off.

Thx guys for the comment on the sprockets. For now, I will pay attention to the throttle response in the low rpm range first. I forgot to bring the air/fuel mixture screws on the carbs in the original settings which sure had affect in the low rpm range.
This week I relocated the fuel pump, moved the one way valves on the tank caps, and tightened the gommet I bolted in the gear change linkage (rod actuated on my tR1ke). This gommet acts as a damper to the gear knob and cancelles out hard beats on the wrist and cancelles out misalignment issues in the rod linkage, very comfortable indeed. If I were to bild a new tR1ke i'd make a gear change lever on the outside of the tunnel and guide the rod on top of the tunnel. This is very straightforward and effective IMO.
I mounted a mass switch in the end of the tunnel as well. Need to make the wiring and rebuild the mid section of the tR1ke AFTER modding the throttle response. I think a lever on the bulkhead is the best option. Have to make a design of it first.
pics later.

This lever trims off the trottle end travel. I recon the full throttle travel isn't of any use because at approx 75% of the travel seems to be full throttle already. The R1 handgrip seems to have abot 70degrees wrist travel which indicates only little throttle cable travel needed. In return I get more useable throttle pedal travel and less agressive response (which is close to uncontrollable).

Proof of road worthyness Driving away needs to get used to with stock gearing. Other than that everything works like a charm! I'll install the passenger seat and try to have some fun before cleaning the dust of it LOL!! vdos very made without permision but I'm glad she did br, Erik

Glad to see you are finally on the road Erik, the pulling away is something you get used to quite quickly the engine doesn't have much of a flywheel so you just need to give it a bit of time to get rolling before you let the clutch out all the way :-) Get some driving in before you go mad with modifying stuff :-)

Sounds like you are pulling away in 3rd gear.

Have to say you do get used to pulling away but even after some time I would still stall sometimes. I fitted new sprockets with 1 tooth less on the engine and 1 tooth more on the wheel, with this set up you keep the standard chain and it has sorted the pulling away problem. Does mean you are slightly lower geared for long drives but from memory I'm now at 5000 rpm at 70 mph.

Yes, it feels like driving away in 3rd gear. May have to change the fuel/air mixture on the carbs a tad. It doesn't like low rmp for this moment but it really shines bright at acceleration.
Thx for the comment on the sprockets. I'm considering to change them in short time notice before the clutch is worn out.
greets! Erik
