Hi Eric, you cannot get a better service than Hyper pro have given you, the front springs that are softer on initial compression will give a comfier ride and help transfer the weight to the front wheels when braking. Over the next few weeks before putting my tR1ke into hibernation for the winter I will be experimenting with an anti roll bar on the front suspension, if it works as effectively as I hope in theory I will be able to use softer front springs. PS....purple springs...surely not

yep, best service I ever had!! And they will have a smile on their faces too! Yeah, the engeneer suggested an anti roll bar as well, but I haven't got a clue what it looks like and if that needs additional welding on my chasis. I recon for street use I have a nice tR1ke soon. Not sure on the track but i am not orientated for track use at all. somehow the calipers, seatbelts and springs have fancy colors I could have chosen black springs but thought purple shows good engeneering LOL!! br! Great about the springs! I am not sure about the anti roll bar however. Yes, the body rolls but is is not very bad. I even have a wheel off the ground in fast corners and with an anti roll bar this happens sooner...

Hehe, Now there is a safety issue: less sticky tires for stepping sideways in sharp corners or thumbling over? In Kevin's video his tR1ke goes sideways in a sharp coners but didn't get airborn. Can you keep up with the motorcycles ?

I keep ahead of motorcycles, at least, on the road! Not at top speed, but cornering is so much better. Also, the tr1ke is very forgiving. I don't have understeer and oversteer is really easy to handle. But, I must be honest, I do have track experience and I have a european racing licence...

great you like the handling so much! some progress: need to check/trim the body and it's ready for painting. I'll store it until I have some wheels. They should be here next weekend (euhm, I guess so...we'll see about that). Then I can paint the rear wheel along with it and continue the build. I knida ran out of the to do list for now. I might get me the needed high tension bolts and imperial nuts etc. br, erik

What are those extended bolts erik, they look the business for all sorts of jobs. Noticed they can just be welded to chassis to make a fixing, brilliant idea. Need to find myself a big bag of them

I think they are called socket nuts in brittish. I got them at a local hardware store. They even have them in stainless. Yeah, wherever I needed to make a hole, I spot welded a socket. Works like a charm. The only detail worth noting is the final welding needs only be made at the sides of the socket. At the ends the socket does melt easely. When the chasis gets schooped it will get it's anti rust protection. when coated you have to file off the coating at the ends because when bolting the coat does crack. Luckely i just had my mudguards painted and got some "nailpaint" in identical color to repair dents and this worked well on the chasis as well.
greets! Erik

Nice wheels, I have the Assassins from wolfrace. Their new range of euro sport wheels is SWEET.
Well worth a look if you haven't bought your wheels yet very reasonable prices for wheel/tyre combinations.

Thx guys! ;D
Today I'll drop the R1 wheel and body at the paintershop. I decided gunmetal like on the wolfrace is okay for the body. I intended silver metallic or something in between but this would result in too many shades of grey.
Hope to pre order the yokohama tires as well. When mounted I can start building the mudguard brackets etc.
It's on pace again!
