Hehe, I take that as a compliment I just realized it's no use to bring the tR1ke to RTR before the end of april because of salt thrown on the roads in winter. While the tR1ke can be delivered on a truck, it is no guarantee RTR brings the tR1ke for MVSA per trailer. Need to make some inquiries regarding this thought. That would be a shame because the building pace is nice and if the wheels get home it really speeds up the build. Last weekend and this evening I managed to install the bulkplate with accesoiries. Unfortunately the map net shows some fabrication damage and needs to be swapped later but it shows where I found some luggage space for coockies On the right side of the tunnel the loom which will be placed in the tunnel and needs to be extended, on the left side of the tunnel the engine loom with rear light connectors and the black wire is of the starter motor. This wire needs to be extended for ca 10cm, but a tad more for clean routing which seems to me like a minimum rework. having the original bike switches makes the extension to the front (switches+lights+dash) hopefully a no brainer. Once sorted the connectors it doesn't look too complicated. At first this appeared to be a spachetti incident Hagons NIB are send to Hyperpro for revision. pics show a rather clean build. The engine connectors (about 6 in total) will be routed on both sides of the engine, 3 connectors per side which makes the loom pretty compact and straightforward. Will spend some time to reroute the hoses behind the engine later. br, Erik

Hi Eric, she is coming along very nicely, I'm happy you've got your wheels organized, good choice by the way they look great and will compliment your tR1ke perfectly.
I think you may need to invest in a vacuum tent for when to comes to the UK ;D Cheers Kevin

Well, i don't think I need any tent at all in spring 2013. Have a look at a wishbone, The lugs are oval 18-19mm as well. I feel like a trainwreck now...

you are absolutely joking. i think that maybe quality control checks need to be looked into. has that been built over here at RTR? very poor indeed......... is that a standard colour?

No kidding on this side of the lake...
yes these are genuine RTR parts. Color is RAL3005, wine red. Can be reproduced wherever needed.
I recon silver and black are the standard colors of the tR1ke on this forum. I chose to coat it over here because all aditional lugs and sockets are welded. Forwarded the pics to our distributor. Hope he has a proper way to deal with this.
Bummer...

I thought now that the wheel saga is sorted you would soon be finished. Hopefully a replacement is on its way to you by Currier now

What the... ?
This is impossible to mount! You should insist on getting new ones asap! Are you sure it didn't happen at the coater?

Didn't you inspect all parts prior to installation and powder coating?
I understand your disappointment. But should you try to arange matters like these first with rtr, before putting it on the forum?
This forum is like a huge magnifier for issues and matters.

Thx all for the heads up. I didn't notice this error because having no wheels and oval lugs made me pospone the wishbone work as long as possible. Up til yesterday... This issue is still in processing fase. I managed to get the other lugs round within 0.25mm by dremeling away the coating and zink layer inside the lugs on specific areas. Now having the lugs round I can reduce the outer diameter of the crush tubes and press them in the wishbones. The holes in the bushes should stay in workable tolerances. Just picked up the shocks. They look great! the front springs are suprisingly set 10kg softer as stock for more comfort in straight line but get harder during cornering to incrase stability. The engeneers are fully aware this is not a 2 or 4 wheeled vehicle and used different math to determine the spring needed. one has quad experience as well which appear to have similar wishbone construction. I was promised 100% warranty without time limit and they showed a big smile when i insisted them to make a testdrive in my tr1ke when it is street legal. They sure know better how to deal with shocks as I ever will. if the springs are not correct they will exchange them for free until there is nothing left to tweak. Need to make some tooling to reduce the crush tube diameter first. Hmmm... Woah! the colors are way off here:

Reducing the crush tube diameters was a non event. The reference for good fitment of the steel bush is: -crush tube needs to be pressed in with the index finger, pulled out with stretched thumb and stretched index. -steel tube needs to rotate freely with thumb and index finger. -2 crushtubes in one leg, the m12 bolt+nuts+steel tube should be able to rotate by hand. I think the aditional friction is made by the washers pressing against the crush tubes. Because the crush tubes are likely not 100% in line I recon this will be a good base for mounting the wishbones on the chasis. i recon the wishbones will rotate down by gravity without any slob. Need to fine sand the steel tubes for lower friction. I don't have suitable grease to protect from rust.I may swap these for stainless in future. regards, Erik
