You have been busy while Ive been away Eric. Those wolfrace wheels look good but with only 5 spokes it would look even better with larger discs.
PS ill take a pic of my brake adjuster in the morning.

Hehe, and I thought these discs weigh a tonne vs the r1 discs. At least it's easy to clean the calipers Yeah bigger discs look more impressive but I don't think I can take an other additional parameter anymore. This is taking the fun out of my project. Nuf said. Looking forward to the pics. I am reading confusing writeups regarding this bar to pass MVSA. thanks in advance! erik

Fingers still crossed on the Wolfrace wheels but things are looking good for now. I received a mail if I wanted to pay with Paypal or bank transfer. I assume 2 wheels can be ordered . Not received an invoice yet but I am more than happy to pay for the wheels and cancel the Momos. Made good progress yesterday. Placed all cooling hoses, throttle and chocke cable. No add-ons for the cooling circuit for now until proof shows otherwise. Added a lot of old t-wraps for scratch to see how compact the layout can be. Planning the drill holes in the floor next to the centre square tube for tightening the big hose on top of the square tube and attach all remaining hoses+cables for make it a rigid assembly. The large qty of t-wraps takes the flex out of the hoses which is good. Bundeling 2-3 hoses max to keep the assembly under the tunnel as low as possible, but wide. need to add the clutch cable before changing the white t-wraps for black ones and remove exess t-wraps needed during the assembly. few questions: -do the clutch- and brake pedal need additional abrassive surface? -what about the surface of the throttle pedal? -need the coolant hoses close to the exhaust pipes heat shielding? br, erik -

Its looking good in that deep red Eric.
I use abrasive tape on all three pedals but especially the brake and clutch. You don't want your foot to slip off.
Are you not adding a heat shield around the exhaust headers they will get very hot.
cheers kevin

Yeah the wine red color is still deep red in full sunlight where red will get orange. I really like it being not metallic as well. You see this color pretty much on industrial machines like trains, cranes, bridges etc. I think it's close to metal primer too LOL!! Guess for this reason I like a steel/gunmetal/anthraxite body because it seems to be a natural combination like I chose the polished lips and anthraxite spokes on the wheels. The color does blend in with metal finishing perfectly (about the only colors that can be used...) Totally statisfied with the chasis color!! I am not planning a heat shield because it restricts the cool airflow as well.I made a fairly large cooling hole in the bulkplate for this reason. I could tape the headers with heat protective bandage like Rik did or use sleeves toprotect the hoses. Not sure which way to go. I need to order some small parts like fuel valve (to stop fuelflow when the car is up side down), heat resistant sleeves etc which I will do at the end of my build to keep S+H costs low. Don't need them right now anyway. Just mounted the clutch cable. I found it a bit unclear to find the point where the clutch gets pressed which makes it a tad risky to determine the end point. Guess I need to fire up the engine for fine tuning later. Time for cleaning up the T-wraps

I measured the inner cable at the engine end when the bike was still together. the total movement was 13mm from when the clutch lever was pulled to the handle bar to fully out.
I measured from the operating arm were the cable sits, to the chrome bracket that holds the outer cable.

Yeah, so did I with pics I made earlier, but having a soft spot where the clutch starts to open makes it risky to set the endpoint. i have a good travel and the spring didn't go in negative so I recon it's good enough for starters.
Just had a look at a breather tank. The connections are 7,5mm which doesn't require installing one in the building fase right now. I may add later one if any problems may occur.

Ok. newsflash I had a few ours free from work and made some use for it. Wolfrace wheels can be ordered but they pm me the costs+ cheap tyres (not asked for tyres) and asked for yokohama prada which they didn't have in stock eventually. Ordering only 2 wheels seems to be a problem. The sure want to sell more. Was not able to call them to make a 2 minute deal. An other day gone not receiving an invoice... Called Momo to cancel the Momo Corse wheels, but the gent offered him to order black ones and repaint them with no additional charges. We agreed I'd call him back tomorrow to see if this option is worth living. Then I will know what choice to make... The Corse is still #1 fav on my list. Because Edwin paid a visit to Hyperpro Werkendam last week I reconed to pay a visit to that engeneer right now. He still has the tR1ke in fresh memory and I reconed now is the time to buy a new rear spring and not waste my time rebuilding what needs to be changed later. Having an öhlins rear shock forced him to make new math because of different spring lenght. The biggest advantage was he made a testdrive with Edwins tr1ke and he strongly advised me to replace the weak front springs as well. I know he isn't talking bs because some pics of the Tr1ke demo car show a severe tilting chasis from rear side view almost toughting the ground in the tank area. Now basically the springs are the only weak point in this design (read: not informed hidden costs) while other kits have more issues I reconed to give him free play on my shocks to make it right. 3 new springs will be placed on my shocks for 330euro (including labour+testing when the vehicle is ready). Edwin having the same kit shocks as I do makes this a no brainer for him because the stock settings are fresh in his memory. perhaps this or next weekend the shocks are ready to be picked up. An other pita was having the contact key mechanism hitting the cooling hoses in the tunnel. The exhaust clamps are placed because the radius of the key is smaller as 2mm which fails MVSA. I need to add socket nuts under the tunnel to raise the needed height. This is not too bad because under the tunnel I made holes for water drainage which will have better access when the tunnel is raised. Now I need to add some additional stainless sockets to make this mod look acceptable. In short: An other week nearly passed and not being very productive. 3 days on the hoses, 3 days on the tunnel. But it looks right grtz, Erik

Today i took it easy on the Tr1ke. Hyperpro called me the rear shock modification is ocmpleted and I send hime the hagon shocks for an upgrade as well. Reasons: 1) one purple shock looks ugly 2) one modified shock out of 3 gives no playroom for the engeneer to increase max performance 3) I want a big smile, and he wants me to have a big smile, and so does he want to have a big smile after HE makes a testdrive with ME as a passenger. I'm already looking forward to that day!
Finally managed to order Wolfrace Olympic wheels and cancelled the Momocrose order. Wheels and branded vents should be here 5-10 days from now. I guess now it is time to work on the wishbones and order the front tires at a local tire shop.
I am planning to place the bulkplate first to see some progress on that chasis.
br, Erik
