Right did a bit of limited work today due to not having full movement in the shoulder. Got one seat in, found that if you use the original runners but set one side rail one notch further back than the other, the seat slides full distance without fouling on anything. Also got the clocks mounted, will be building up the pod and covering it with carbon wrap.

Hi Pardon What, i think there are all sorts of ways to do your thing on the tank, some have gone tank normal way round and filler in the side, but only half a tank of fuel. Others have gone central by either using the tank return in the middle of the tank,or finding a route with piping to get to the central point, but further work and cost needed. I have only highlighted another option which hasn't been mentioned before and uses all mx5 parts, does get a full tank of fuel and costs nothing. All down to individual choice at the end of the day. The main thing is to get to the highest point to get more fuel in. The accident stopped me finishing mine but now i might be able to get on with it and show some pics. Steve

Have sorted the electrics now and the car actually starts, i'm putting in a bottom tray to rest the electrics on and then sandwich them under a top tray with carbon wrap on it. The trays can be made out of the offcut of the floors, just enough left if your careful.

Nice build like the color and filler placement.. one thing might be to put the largest flat washers or a piece of flat alum stock to fill the opening under the bolt heads that mount the seat to the rails..less likly to crack the glass when pushing on seat to get in/out.. just a thought..

Point taken, but its a temporary fix at the mo, one arm and that, going to carbon cover them and put race seat foam on before final fit. Got called to hospital today for early xray.... FRACTURED COLLAR BONE.... sh*t, no wonder it hurts.
