Carrying on from my 'hindsight' thread, ive started hacking apart the rocket to make some modifications. the entire floor is covered in a thin film of diesel. horrible dirty fuel been busy drilling out rivets and welding up the holes. when will the fun stop First glance would suggest theres enough meat on the top wishbones to mill out and fit camber sleeves - ill post some pics when this is done. will

took the engine out yesturday. i had forgot just how tight the fit was. a good half hour of wiggling before it was free the beast in all its glory. this is going to take some cleaning/painting. have since seperated it from the gearbox, just to make moving it around easier. the gearbox is a back breaker in itself... next job? weld in the new engine mounts Will

ive had to raise the OS engine mount to prevent the sump hitting the chassis (a previous problem), but had to notch out a rollbar stay in order to do so. im undecided as to whether it needs an extra support or not... will

Hi will nice cooler mate not sure if you would need to support any more and how you could add any ask the stig . Lego had a good look at it today, and ive decided to leave it as is. the tube is nearly 3mm thick, and the curved plate ive welded in is 2.5mm. if i was using the car for trackdays and racing i would definately brace it, but in my opinion its plenty strong enough should i roll it at road speeds. still, i shall phone stiggy monday to ask his thoughts. progress: none today, apart from a few more sockets in the garage. can never have too many! Will
