By chance I was at Brands Hatch on Saturday, and saw from the programme that the Exocet was entered in the last race of the day, the Nippon Challenge. Had to stay to the end for that ... I was concerned when the announcer read out the starting grid to find the car was on the back row (39th?), apparently due to some earlier fuel leak problem. In the race though the car was astonishing, making up 7 places by the second corner, and going on to finish 10th. There was a bit of help (but only a bit) from a mid-race safety car which closed up the pack, but overall the car was very impressive, not the fastest in a straight line but cornering on rails. Hats off to Alec Livesley who drove an excellent race, passing everything he came up to. Alec, if you're reading - we were the family waving to you at the exit to Druids on your slowing down lap! Cheers Mark

Thanks for the support this was my first race back after three years off! what a fantastic little car very well balanced very easy to drive quick. as you said we had a fuel leak on the restart of the first race we qualified 11th on a set up that did not get any heat in the tyres we changed that for the race and it made a massive improvement. I think we could have run top five we will look to improve for the next race. Next out on the 22 August at Rockingham. Hope to see some of you there! Alec

Brilliant Alec, I look forward to seeing you at Brands on the 3rd/4th Sept with 3 Exocets on the grid! That is going to be very entertaining to watch. So come on guys, please come and join us in supporting them, it is great to see these MEV's in action, all 3 drivers are well experienced and show the machines at their best by driving against cars with far more power. It is fantastic to see these guys in action and we at MEV are extremely grateful and proud as they are helping to raise the profile of the brand.

Just heard from one of the drivers, he is delighted with the car and qualified 4th despite some serious competition. Can't wait to watch the racing on Sat/Sun. Come on down Moggers.

Brilliant day at Brands Hatch, many thanks to Jonathon Blake, Alec Livesley and Mike Pearson who all drove extremely well against some very tough competition. It was fantastic to watch these cars looking so natural on the track and an amazing result with 2 positions on the podium. Jonathon 2nd and Alec 3rd. This was Mikes first ever drive in a MEV and yet he still had a great result of 13th out of 30. To get 3 cars in this preSTIGious event is marvellous. To have them all finish is great, to have them all make serious headway is very exciting. Only 4 10ths of a secong separated the Blakey and Alec's fastest laps. This just shows how close the racing is going to be in the MX150R series next year. I genuinely recommend you check these races out. I won't sleep tonight! Short clips here, not pro video you understand! Pro stuff to follow soon.
