This is a continuation of my build journey started under the topic "Sonic picked up today".

As stated in my last post, progress has been slow due to work. With the nights now longer it means I can get more work done in the evenings.
I finally got around to finishing 1 or 2 of the jobs that had been sitting there not being completed.
1st was the suspension. Based on various threads posted, I decided to install grease nipples as standard on all parts pre-installation.
I have also opted for the new RD uprights and used the "Heat & Freeze" method of bearing installation. This worked perfectly for only 1 of the 4 bearings. The other 3 had to be convinced to go in via a large and clamp and well sized washers to protect the bearing race. Very happy to say they went in without an issue then.
Steering arm extension has been fabricated and mounted.
I then put one of the seats in so I could finally sit in my car. Problem was that with my size 11 feet, my foot touched the steering column when moving from accelerator to brake. Definitely not ideal. A bit of aluminum cutting, bracket moving and patch creating and everything was good again.

Next on the list was the new engine bracket and pulley wheel. Happy to report that it was very simple to do and one of the easiest jobs so far.
Next up final engine clean and mounting to chassis. Have a friend coming over tonight to help with this.
