Nice vids! I think the engine resonance is scaled up at the airbox inhaling air. You may reconsider to mount the camera on the chasis only.

Hi Erik, I had the same thoughts.
Will see.
How is the resonance of your engine? Is it resonating yet? White smoke or puzzling the wires?

Hi Edwin, welcome to the black art of trying to get smooth footage on a tR1ke, great above 4k but you will have hours of fun eliminating the vibration below 4k it is something all early r1s do, mounting our cameras half way along the chassis cross brace is bad for high frequency vibs. I tried mine at the end of the brace and the pic was good but not ideal position. Try different positions and feel the camera while revving the motor to 4k. Obviously any camera shake will be seen on the footage.
Also an external mic would be good.
Good look

Started to wrap the loom in front of the dash . I do reconsider to fire her up and finish the loom around the engine later (which hasn't been tested) step by step ;D

Or I will have to keep the engine running above 4k rpm. Or I will rent myself a camera man. But I like the current position of it's view. It is only a 60 Euro camera and it has no connection for external microphone. Will share my findings. Regards, Edwin

Hi edwin Its a very good camera for the price and also the best position for footage, unfortunately its also the worst position for vibes and wind noise. Cheers Kevin

Trying to make the steering column look decent. Holes for the alarm indicator switch and windscreen wiper switch are covered up with aluminium and glassfiber. Before painting: After painting: Perhaps mat paint looks better than current glossy paint.... Also covered the floor with checker plate look-a-like PVC tiles. Much less slippery.

Last weekend modified the second exhaust. This time only made two damping chambers in stead of original three. A bit better sound:

Before drilling the rivnuts out, first gently hammer the small nail in. On this picture you can see one rivnut with the nail out. End results after cleaning and polishing:

Great sound!
The exhaust does look very neat as well. How did you manage to clean the blue surface? My exhaust has some brown rain residu on several places.
greets! Erik

@ Erik: Carefully cleaned the damper with plain thinner, later some tar spickel removal something, then left it soaking in WD40 for several hours. And finally I polished it with ordinary car polish before putting it back together. @ Kevin: No additional action camera testing (yet). I think I will have to keep the engine above 4000 rpm all the time..... Above movie i took with my phone.

When I installed my dashboard, original (Ford Fiesta) steering wheel was installed. With new steering wheel view on my odometer was not optimal. So I moved the odometer 11 cm to the right. I prefer good sight on my odometer above symmetry of the dashboard. And it saves speeding tickets. Old situation: When moving the odometer, you have to find a solution of the old fixing holes. Covered the dashboard with silver colored wrap foil. End result:
