Mind you if you don't sort out your stalling when engaging gear you will not be taking it, so lock your self in your garage turn your phone off and get it done. I know...

Stalling engine issue is solved... Cleaned and greased connectors and contacts. Finally closing the wires of the side stand did the job. (blue/black and black wires)
Left to do: - passenger foot rest - raising head lights and indicators - solve resonating bulkhead - transport to rtr

Very careful drove the car up and down the street. Brakes are good. Fine adjusted the clutch. When making a turn back into the garage, by accident I did a "vtR1k" this afternoon. The clutch needs definitely some more fine adjustment.

Pictures will follow. (as always...) Sent from my GT-S5660 No need to raise the tR1ke headlamps for MSVA. They only need raising for the IVA as the angles of visibility requirements are different for IVA. Make sure that your rear indicators are no more than 400mm from the edge of the widest point of the vehicle. We mounted ours on the edge of the roll bar. RTR

For the headlights I agree. Front indicators need a free sight up to 80 degrees outwards. With current location it does not, with new brackets it does. ("Better safe than sorry") Picture below is an empty car. Rear indicators are at about 400mm front the widest point of the car. Should be ok. 45 degrees of free view inwards can be discussed about, because the rear licence plate is in the way. Talking of licence plates: According to Dutch legislation the car will receive a full size standard car size licence plate. So this one: (11cm x 52cm) Or this one: (21cm x 34cm) Often used for caravans. With good arguments it is possible to be allowed to have an American sized licence plate. (11cm x 32cm) Motorbike licence plate is: 14x21cm (License plate pictures are about in proportion to each other) US licence plate is only allowed in the Netherlands with an official dispensation. My arguments for getting allowed to have an US licence plate: - better free view on rear indicators. - more save when scooping pedestrians / bicyclers. - better looking....

The american is not allowed in NL. It is only allowed for american cars which have no room for a european licence plate. At the moment, I am negotiating with RDW to get the motorcycle plate approved for the tR1ke. RDW states that is is not allowed to have sharp and protrusive parts mounted on a vehicle (my tR1ke failed on this point) A license plate is sharp and protusive... If this works out for me, then in the future, I paved the road for other tR1ke owners...
Be patient, may 29th I must go for the second (and hopefully last) survey, then I know more and I will let you know.

Cool, looks great, I do like the colour, you could if you wanted get the dash covered in a fabric or maybe powder coated to match the dash?its very nice and clean looking with the brushed aluminium though :-)

It does look very neat Edwin, you will have no problem with the the lights now. I really like the exposed gear change cable, sometimes being able to see mechanical things doing their thing looks so cool. Good look for the msva, not that you'll need it mate.

This summer I will be driving ! My list of jobs and improvement for next winter: - Improve rear suspension with a more stiff progressive spring - Dashboard cover. Not sure what it will be: foil, fabric, brushing or polishing - Shorten the standard Hubble-telescope-sized exhaust. Inspired by Nick his exhaust

There is a guy on eBay making them in Doncaster, now a man of your talent will easily do this. Its the standard R1 can, like you I had the Titanium one, but the Carbon Fibre one will also fit from the 2001 model, he basically cut it down taking most of the internal structure out, he then wrapped Carbon Fibre around the Titanium skin and then heat treated it into place. I literally could not be arsed doing this. I part ex'd mine with him, and got my new one from him for £40. Its not the loudest can, it's by no means quiet either, for me, it's ideal, it gives a lovely sound, fits neatly at the side of the wheel, it's no longer protrudes past the rear wheel. It's spot on and a cheaper different alternative to a Micron etc: The other option I wanted but did not want to pay lots for was this one: Looks great www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EXHAUST-AKRAPOVIC-MEGAPHONE-YAMAHA-R6-YEAR-2006-2007-SM-Y6SO6T-/140666871328?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item20c0661e20#ht_2886wt_1165
