I can't help think that some Jap metal might be rather good in one of these.
I run a 3.0 all alloy 1MZFE in my Mr2 Roadster and that fairly shifts. With half the weight it would positively fly.

Ha, i could have sworn the wheels on the green one were bigger!
Gotta say i prefer the look of the blue. I think i'll have to go photoshop my own wheels on there.

How do they differ in ride and handling?

Not being funny. But why?
There's much better options out there. Is it the V6 you're looking at?

Another question, what's the top speed roughly for each gear with the diff that's in place?

Excellent, thanks for that. One last thing, what is the current situation with the roll-over bars, are they the double hump or one single arc? or What's the range on a tank, any ideas? Do you have a demonstrator that i could have a good look round? Still planning to make the trip down to see you guys soon. Cheers,

Hi folks, looking for a run down of what i'll need to build this. Anyone completed one that could give me the info please.
Complete Kit from RTR - £5,400 R1 Donor - ~£2k but will get plenty back off that in part sales
I take it i will also need to purchase :
4 x wheels and tyres Brake setup - which ones are recommended? Steering wheel and rack - again which one? Wheel Bearings - as above?
Anything else i have missed out from the list?
What is the average build time for an Atomic?
Finally, as for the performance figures etc. Anyone timed one?
Cheers, Olie

I think it's got to be the Atomic.
I don't think it would be fair taking someone else out in something with that much performance.
Mind is made up, now for some more research. I'll put the thread in the Atomic forum.

So you're looking for a track machine.
Atomic looks to have the perfect balance and outright performance, top of the list for thrills and spills.
Tr1ke, you can share the sillyness, big bonus.
Question is, will the Tr1ke be just as good as the Atomic on track or does the single wheel at the back and being 2 up make it that bit less fun?
I'm swaying towards the Tr1ke but the Atomic just looks so damn good.
Whaddya think?

Alfa Romeo 3.2 GTA engine if you've got the height.
Sounds glorious!

Plus Gas works better than WD40 i find.
230V Leccy impact gun from machine mart for £60 is a good tool to have. I use mine for removing crankshaft pulley bolts and the like and they whizz clean off.
