Hi Flynn,
Hope the build is going well! I'm trying to get a few bits and pieces before I pick up the rocket kit next weekend (hopefully) but am struggling to find somewhere that sells the right size button head bolts for the suspension and steering rack...... any suggestions would be gratefully received....
Cheers
Kevin

A little more progress today. Waiting for my brakes to come from RTR. Going for the Hi-Specs instead of the wilwoods, although looking unlikely that they'll be here for the weekend. Fitted the wishbones and suspension, need to trim down the bolts tomorrow. Cant wait to get it rolling Bought some alloys of ebay. TD Pro Race 1.2, with tyres. £200. Bargain!

Hi Flynn,
Love the wheels.......and the build looks great so far. Can I ask how you went about getting the crush tubes in the bushes? I've managed to get one in so far with an awful lot of hammering but it wasn't easy at all and I'm thinking that their must be an easier way.....
Cheers

I ask about this in the technical section and got some good advice. I used a dremel and grinded the edges off one end on the crush tubes, so it has a beveled egde. Then lined it up and hit it with a rubber mallet. I found that the first hit only had to be a soft one to initially get it lined up in the bush, then gave it some hammer and finished it of in a vice. When I tried doing it without the beveled edge, it was a nightmare. Hope this helps www.mevowners.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=chassis&action=display&thread=950&page=1

Hi Flynn, Many thanks for the tip! bevelling the edges made all the difference..... Cheers Kevin Yippee Glad it helped. Exalt my karma Just bought a Wilwood pedal box of ebay. Need some track rod ends and going to order some wilwoods for the front. Was going to go for the Hi-Specs that RTR was going to supply, but I cant wait any longer. Need to get it on its wheels, so wilwoods it is May look to see if AP or Alcon do anything that will fit..... Rear hubs on there way, just need to decide what to do with the rear brakes. Standard focus rear or something else.
