Bump on the request for measurements from other Sonics!
Bad news: between a funeral, a 3year old with an ear infection and my wife off on a hen do the kits not been touched for a week :-(
Good news: day off tomorrow with only 1 thing on the list :-). Is it wrong to set an alarm?

No it isn't, although you prob won't need it as you will be biting at the bit to get your hands on her

I'm not sure I have understood which measurements you want me to take. More details and perhaps a pic or two and I'll happily take some measurements for you

Thanks Dave. Unfortunately I don't have the wheel arch to take a picture. I'm looking at getting some led strip type lights and trying to work out what sort of size there is to cover.
If the arch, when looking from behind is a n I'm interested in the distance between the two points (so how wide is it) along with the distance along the trailing edge (along the length of the n).
Not sure that this is any clearer! Will try to draw what I mean and post it later!

Hi Mate, I've pm you my mobile number we can discuss in real time and perhaps FaceTime when I'm in front of the car and can measure what you want?

Thanks, memory playing tricks on me! How are the upgrades coming? Willing to tell the plans yet?

I used those (or something very similar). Only thing protruding through the panel on my installation is the barrel; I used the big reinforcing disc underneath the panel, and that's Sikaflexed in place. No issues so far (fingers xd....!) Martin

Thanks guy's. Part of the problem I'm having is all of my own making! The colour scheme just won't lend itself to aero catches and not happy with the quick latches and alternatives. Yesterday I had a bit of a brain wave and will be getting some of these: www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/micro-bear-claw-latchTo have invisible catches, operated by a pull lever/handle from the cabin. Having the same issue with fuel filler so have ordered one of these: www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/121914463849 And dug out the focus flap/hinge to make a hidden version As a side note sanded down the dash pod / scuttle join. All the panels now in place, just need to drill the panels for attaching to the chassis. Not happy with the scuttle join to the cross member so will extend and fibreglass some angle brackets, keeping any rain away from the bolts. Seem to make 1 step forward 2 back but enjoying working through these things and would rather get it right as I am targeting next summer for on the road.

I used one of the bear claw type hinges from the rear fold down seats of my donor car.
It had an extension cable attached to it which was positioned just at the head rest which made folding the seat easier.
I fitted the claw at the tip of the bonnet and ran the cable along the underside to the passenger position, so just pull the cable tab and the bonnet pops open. So if you want to save some cash just get along to your local scrap yard and take one with it's cable from a focus.

It was a saloon.
That's what I used and it locks a treat.
