Finally turned the chassis the right way up........ Assembled the front suspension with no problems. Could anyone tell me where to position the steering rack as the mounting plates on the chassis are large. How do I ensure it is central? Not sure if you can see but there is a anti slip coating in the footwell area.

That floor looks real nice, did you add the coating and if so what did you use ?
To centralise rack simply measure from edge of mount to the edge of mounting lugs and get them even each side, I find one of those squares for woodwork works well as you can adjust it till it touches relevant points then move to other side and see if it is even.
Your suspension bolts look a little short, unless they are not tight yet, a minimum of two threads need to be protruding through the lock nut.

Thanks for the tips on the rack I will be on it tomorrow.
As for the bolts. They are what RTR supplied with the kit so I guess they are correct?

Sorry forgot to answer your question on the coating. The guys who cut the floor put the anti slip coatingon. It is just like a semi rough adhesive film. It was just put in the footwell so I didn't go A over T when stepping into the car.......

As for the bolts. They are what RTR supplied with the kit so I guess they are correct? Regardless of the source don't make that assumption. Ultimately it is down to you to ensure they are correct. If, when tight, the required thread does not protrude it will fail IVA and, more importantly, be prone to coming loose thus being a safety concern. The shocks look correct but the suspension looks short, could be the photos though. If RTR supplied them they should be correct but it does not mean they are correct.

OK....... I have a few questions with regards the following... I fitted up the HiSpec calipers and found the pads overhang the discs both internally and externally. Is this correct? ? Also the amount of spacers/washers required to space the caliper from the hub mount seems excessive and also uneven. If it is I must say I am not impressed. Surely there is a better option!!!!! I mounted the steering rack without too much problem but come to fit the track rod ends in the hubs and found the tapers are completely wrong the ends I was told to purchase by RTR are way to small and would pull through if tightened up. RTR said to but MK2 RS2000 ends from Rally design which I did. Any help on either of these issues would be greatfully received. Apart from that its looking good .

OK I have spoken to RTR and the RS2000 ends are for the Rally Design uprights only so regular focus ends are the ones I need.

Surely RTR new what uprights you were using when they advised which ends to buy, did they not even ask you that? With the spacers under the caliper I prefer a plate with holes rather than a pile of washers. Luckily I needed neither and just had to skim 0.4mm off the od of the disk and all fitted a treat. No worries Paul, Thanks for the reply.
New ends fitted all good now.
I think I am going to go with a ally plate under the caliper like Kiwicanfly said. Will look neater I think.
