It's been a while since I have posted but havn't had much to post till now. Moved house and time seems to fly by and I havn't even lifted a spanner......
Also decided to go the whole hog and invest in a full focus RS engine setup. Motor is in pieces ready to go off to the my local engineer for a few minor bits.
Collected my chassis from RTR a month ago and have been accumulating parts ever since.......
Just in the process of ordering a floor material as an alternative to the supplied alloy sheet. Having the sheet machine cut at my local printers after there man comes and templates the floor.
Decided to use dibond a sandwich of two alloy sheets and a composite centre. Is stonger and lighter than the supplied sheet. And looks the business too.
Pictures to follow soon.

Does the Focus RS engine fit in the rocket?
Is it the older 2 litre engine or the new 2.5 turbo one..

Right, so it's basically a modded ST170.

Doesn't have vvc but a turbo instead. They make about 215hp from the factory but have upgraded internals and are capable of running near 400hp without internal mods. My engine has only done very low miles under 20k and will have a fresh set of mains and rings. Head overhall and polish. My intention is to run the rotrex charger like Mabbs. So should achieve 350hp+ with any luck.

Ok some minor progress. Engine completely stripped and cleaned. Block repainted black First half of the sump painted silver. Crank and all internal parts stripped and checked. ACL aluglide bearing sets ordered ARP Main, rod and head bolts/studs ordered. Full oe engine gasket set ordered Cometic head gasket ordered So moving slowly forward....... Speaking to my main man Garth Wong today from MGT racing in Nuneaton he has suggested a few ECU's to pick from. He will be doing all the wiring as I am just not into it and want the project finished before i'm old and grey........... Link Storm plus Vipec I44 Syvecs S6 Hopefully more progress later this week. Sweet..
When you fit the arp main studs, they may foul the webbed alloy mid sump thing. A die grinder help remove the small areas in the cast that conflict.
May be sorted now, I built mine 8 years back, and they came from the USA.
