I believe I removed the flap. (Done some time ago now so can't remember) Filling is a little slow as you can indeed get blow back (but you ain't leaving a petrol station any time soon, anyway - as there's always someone who'll want want to talk about the car!) I was more concerned with finding a solution to getting the differing diameters between the Aston style filler neck and that of the tank's inlet stub to marry up - as well as incorporating the breather tube from the tank.

Gary, I modified the donor fuel filler neck to suit. (see 'Sept 2018' in my build blog on ANC website)

Yes thank you. There is some serious negotiating going on. Here's a question for you I've come across a sliver box under the dash above the heater matrix that has a forward arrow on it any ideas? Its the control module for the airbags.

It looks like your aston style cap doesn't have a non-venting locking insert fitted to seal off the tank properly (which the EVAP system has detected and hence why you've had to modify and fit the original cap.)

Did you retain the original VIN plate from the donor? Does it have the engine number on that?
The engine number on the block is notoriously difficult to read as they are only faintly etched/stamped in which may be why its listed as unknown on v5?. Careful cleaning with fine emery paper may reveal it. Will prob still need to take a photo of it with phone to read it. Hopefully you can then match it to the vin and v5.

Which kit's chassis are you referring to? (Exocet, Replicar, Sonic etc...) All made by different manufacturers so may well have different levels of finish offered. Best ask on the appropriate model's sub-forum.

Whereabouts are you in the SW? We're based in Devon (Ivybridge) if you fancied a visit and there's a couple of local kit car groups (SW KitCars and Devon Kitcar Club) which can be found on Facebook whom have meets/runs out.

Very neat, James. Did you sort out your emissions issue in the end and are you now fully road legal? Appears to be a good colour match on the paint for the lens edges - what colour code did you use?

ANC Sportscars have booked a stand at this coming weekend's Cornwall Motorfest. (Nr Newquay) So if you're down in the South West having a late summer break and want to see our Replicar demonstrator, why not pop along and say hello. Plenty of entertainment/camping all weekend as well as the car displays etc. cornwallmotorfest.co.uk/

Have you also checked that the PPF has got its own dedicated good earth connection near the diff? A couple of decades of British winters often means they have corroded and broken off - so could easily be missed.
