Age related registration using two different donors

Evening all, a quick question I could do with some advice on:
I'm using the MX5 as the main donor for my exocet, obviously, but the loom, engine and box are coming from a slightly later RX8.

The guidance for DVLA registration says two major components from the donor to get age related first reg, so if I keep the VIN from the RX8, along with v5 and engine number, could i use that for the age related registration, or would it still be MX5.

I'm confused here!

Send the MX5 V5 off NOW for an update on engine size and engine number with the RX one and bobs your uncle
