Circuit Use - Summary Schedule, Guidelines and Rules
Dear Participant
On behalf of the MEV Owners Group, MEVltd and RTRltd the Management are delighted that you have chosen to participate in the 1st AMM, especially those that have elected to try out there MEV vehicle on the Curborough Circuit.
For many Owners this will be there first experience of a track/circuit day and for almost all the first visit to Curborough, therefore in the interests of safety we request everyone to be sensible so that there are as few stoppages as possible and that drivers build up there speed progressively as there familiarity with the Circuit increases throughout the day.
The exact format of then event will be decided by the Marshalls and Staff at Curborough on the day and will be dependent upon the numbers of vehicles and drivers, but generally we will run single circuit sprints in the morning and twin circuit sprints in the afternoon. There will be plenty of circuit time for everyone to enjoy themselves.
We would like to remind participants that the day is a ‘non competitive event’ where no timing or competition is allowed.
Although a more detailed schedule will be given on the day the key times, and important things to note are detailed below:-
8.30am - Circuit opens. You need to aim to arrive before 9 am so you can prepare yourself and your car before the drivers briefing. (for those of you camping the Friday night the facility will be open from 6.00pm on Friday)
9.10am - Signing on. You will need to officially register and sign two indemnities on the day one for the Curborough Circuit and one for MOG/MEV/RTR. (Drivers are required to bring there driving licences, for registration)
9.30am - Drivers briefing. EVERYONE that is intending to use the circuit must attend the drivers briefing before being allowed onto the circuit. If you miss this main briefing you will have to wait until the Chief Marshall is available to do further briefings. (which may not be until the lunchtime recess)
All users of the Circuit, both passengers and drivers, are required to wear appropriate clothing, arms legs and feet will need to be covered, so no T shirts, shorts or flip flops please and crash helmets are mandatory, so remember to bring your lid. The Marshalls will refuse you and your vehicle access to the track if you or your passenger are not suitably dressed.
Video equipment is allowed but must be securely mounted to the vehicle, no passenger held cameras please.
The event is not open to the general public and as such participants should be aware that the entrance gates will be locked from 10.00am ~ 12.30pm and 1.30pm ~ 5.00pm on the Saturday while the Circuit is in operation. Should those of you that may, because of work commitments or unforeseen circumstances arrive during the lockdown, the Management will be publishing a mobile phone number for you to use to contact the Organisers/Marshalls in order to gain entry to the facility.
Curborough is situated off the A38 trunk road between Burton on Trent and Lichfield in Staffordshire. The venue is Brown Signed once you are off the A38, for satnav users postcode WS13 8GB should get you close enough. www.curborough.co.uk/curbloc.htm
