Ahhh
I've been out of the loop for a few weeks. Mrs Matsmev's dad (i guess thats Mr Matts Mev Snr-in-law) has been very very ill, in the ICU of PLymouth Hospital. That has run our lives for us over the last few weeks or so, so I have not been checking these hallowed pages. I'm just going to send a PM now, i hope I am not to late

Assuming i have got a place it will be Mr Mattsmrv in a rocket 1.6, Mrs Mattsmev as a second driver and Miss Mattsmev as a spectator and willing participant in the 'who can push a rocket the furthest comp'. We'll camp on the Friday and Sat night.
Look forward to seeing you all there.

Dear fellow MEV owner
I have just downloaded the latest list of attendees and there are still spaces left. That leaves me to assume that some mev owners have not signed up for this event. please let me point out 10 advantages of a track day...
1. This is the cheapest track day you will ever see - bar none 2. Track days are really fun events, non competative, non contact motor sports for all abilities, even Mrs Mattsmev has done one and she loved it. 3. You get the track to your self for one lap, then someone else gets a go while you find excuses for the poor lap you just had - thats 45 seconds to actually drive it like you stole it 4. You get the opportunity to drive at your own pace on a track with no curbs, pedestrians or speed cameras. 5. You drive at your pace - if you're having fun, thats good enough, but the experience is addictive, just one more lap and I'll be faster 6. You get to test your car and your self, and see what it can do 7. you get to meet other MEV owners, they are a great bunch, child friendly and up for any fun suggestion - Newark last year was the most fun I have had in a car with the engine switched off since I was 18! 8. You will get a picture of your car in Complete Kitcar Magazine 9. This is the best reason going to finish the car and get all those issues sorted out 10. The Red Bull F1 are tallent spoting for a new driver*
If you have not signed up for this event have a think about it. You will regret it if you don't, honest.
I hope to see a full grid at the first AMM
Cheers

* I made that bit up, it's actually Torro Rosso that are after a new driver

I would love to attend. Sounds great fun and a chance to put face to names. But there's a big but in that I'm building the car with my son who will be 9 and as this would be the first event, I just can't do it without him. If the mgnt change the ages .... He already has his kart suit and helmet.

Still looking forward to it

The Management are somewhat disappointed by the general lack of support from its members towards the 1st AMM, this is in spite of the fact that the event, including its date was announced as far back as the end of last year, and that the event represents one of the cheapest track/circuit weekend ever. While initial enthusiasm was high many owners now appear to be reluctant to fully commit to the event. In light of this fact the Management are now forced to consider introducing:- - A premium pay on the gate approach of say £60 per MEV owner with car instead of the pre booked fee of £40 and a £15 per person/guest gate charge instead of the pre booked £10. and,
- Opening up attendance at the event to all MEV enthusiasts registered on the Forum at a pre booked fee of £10 or an on the gate charge of £15.
Both MEV and RTR have also offered to try and accommodate all perspective customers and current owners by, giving them the opportunity to ride as a passenger in one of the Company demonstrators. It is appreciated that the great British weather as always will probably be making many a MEV owner apprehensive about attending, but remember those now famous words of one of our owner (Mrs mattsmev) “there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing” - Now that’s the MEV spirit ! the Management (the Management welcomes your comments on these proposals)
