Can I fit them now or will I have trouble at the IVA?

I would contact the iva technical help site just to be sure. Their email address is : approvals.technical@dvsa.gov.uk they may take a day to get back to you, but at least you will know for sure. As far as I am aware, I have not heard of one going through iva, I know that there is a rule on the height of the screen, as in does it qualify for wipers etc. When you get your answer, would you possibly update us please ? I have found it easier to mock the parts up in their locations, take a picture with dimensions & send it off. The more info they get, the more accurate the answer.
I hope that this helps, not a straight answer, but the path to the correct one.

If you do the edges will need a radius. I am fitting mine then taking off for IVA. The other thing is that if they qualify as windscreen then you also need a demister.
Top tip when you final fit them mask and paint or use insulating tape on the bottom 10mm before fitting. Dirt crap and grime get behind them and you won't be able to clean behind in that area mate

Surely if you look through it then it's a windscreen but you look over it then it's a flyscreen?
Is it really so difficult?

I definitely wouldn't fit it until after IVA. If they think it's a windscreen you need wipers and a demister. Avoid the hassle and wwera sunglasses till then.

I'm sorry but how can anyone interpret a flyscreen as a windscreen?
Isn't there a solid definition of this under IVA?

There is....section 32, Forward Vision, and the detail is all in annex 1. There's a diagram (and a table of measurements as well), but the wording is as follows:
<<The “horizontal plane” is obtained by Measuring / projecting a line through a series of datum points from the driving position to its point of intersection with the windscreen or to the road ahead. The driver’s seat, if adjustable, should be adjusted to its rearmost / lowest position. c. In the case of a seat with an adjustable back rest, the measurements should be made with the seat back rest adjusted to an angle of 25°, line ‘A’ being parallel to the centre line of the seat back rest. d. In the case of a seat with a fixed back rest, the dimensions ‘A’ and ‘B’ should be as follows. A=562.5mm The “horizontal plane” is at the point where the projection of line ‘C’ intersects the windscreen / windshield, or if above the windscreen /windshield, the vertically projected plane of the windscreen / windshield (line ‘D’). Where the “horizontal plane” intersects Glazing at any point the Glazing is determined to be a windscreen. The vehicle will therefore be required to meet the standards of section 34 defrost/demist and section 35 wash/wipe.>>
Fundamentally, it all comes down to lines of vision and the height of the screen (be it fly or wind!).
The simple solution is don't put it on before IVA. If you do, they will have to check it doesn't need to have wipers and demister (ie it isn't a windscreen as per the above). Just put it on afterwards. That's what I did, and I expect most others have done.
