Hello, My rocket chassis should have been started on Monday 24th January so it does not give me much more time to complete the Focus stripping before delivery, almost there. It has taken me a few weeks on and off to get this far.
I live near Ashbourne in Derbyshire so hopefully will be near fellow Rocket men for advice and guidance.

Hi Springfield, I'm picking up my kit on Monday (can't wait!!!) and live in Leicester so not far away. Not sure I'll be too much help on the advice and guidance front though as am learning as I go but always good to keep in touch as the build progresses to overcome any obstacles!
Cheers keV

Hello Jim,
Thank you for getting in touch. You and your dad have been busy. I was in Chesterfield yesterday. Where exactly are you? If its not a rude question. My Rocket is still in the bubble wrap, still trying to get things in some semblance of order, ordering bits, clearing big shed, preparing Focus bits, etc. Keep in touch, I am sure we can learn together. Kind regards, Les.

Hello Jim, I have friends in Wingerworth and a mate just this side of Chesterfield that is why I was asking. I have got 17inch Rocket 4 Wheels with Yokohama tyres. Obviously I have not done my gearlever yet but know what you have to do to convert the Mondeo one. I have it stripped down ready. Must get some pop-rivets soon, otherwise the floor will fall off. Did you use 4.9x10mm or 4.9x 8mm with 10mm heads? I am on 01335 330236 if you want a chat. You must be nearly ready for the wings!!!! Good old Dad. Kind regards, Les.

Hi Les, we live very close to Wingerworth so you must call round sometime. The rivets we used were 4.8 x 14 with 16mm heads. My dad says he will give you a call sometime to talk about the gearlever situation. Jim

Hello Jim, Thank you for the invite, will take you up on that. Tell your dad he can call me any reasonable time during day or evening. I do get very busy sometimes, but do not go to work, usually within earshot of a phone. Ordered my bolts and rivets today, so that is another step forward.
Regards, Les.

Do you need a pilots license for a Fireblade Powered Rocket???
Not started yet been too busy. Having said that, been to SVC Tamworth today to pick up my Pacet fan. Also got a pair of LED number plate lights.
Hope you make your decision soon. Regards, Les.
