The 1999 was the one year that Mazda used the 6-wire hazard switch, it consists of one NC (Normally Closed) and three NO (Normally Open) switches (other years had a simple on/off switch). If I remember right the Savage switches have generic NO/NC micro switches, they can be used but I think you will need a relay and some diodes. I've PMed you a circuit diagram for another car the uses the Savage type switches - hope this helps.

Well thanks to snowbirds diagram and the mention of diodes helped me to figure this out I’ve spent the last few days reading and studying diagrams and came up with this that makes the switch work as per Mazda. Abit more research brought up resistors and I have now managed to wire it in so it flashes on off with sidelights off and dim bright with sidelights on ill update my drawing to include this. A few extra parts are needed for both you’ll need a 4K resistor and 3 diodes to make switch flash or just 2 diodes for standard setup I used universal in-line diodes 10a 50v dc
