Hi
Been busy collecting up all the parts for my build, but can't work out which harness will go through a iva test?
Have read they need to have the standard type seat belt buckle? Is this true?
Also any information on fitting them to the harness bar

I don't know about IVA acceptance but the security offered by a six point harness vastly outweighs the convenience of a four point.

Will have to be 'E' Marked and should be fine. The harness should wrap around the harness bar. You could use a bolt (if it's strong enough; M8.8 or higher I think), but drilling into the bar will weaken it

Will be, just has Demon Tweeks higher profit margin on top.
Kitspares price is for a pair.

I'm also in the market for a set of harnesses for my Rocket. 4 point would be my preference, and I think I've a better chance of getting SWMBO into the car if the release is a familiar red button rather than a full racing harness.
My question is around length, Willians and others sell 'Caterham' and 'Westfield' models, which look to be shorter and mount to the roll over bar rather than over it and to the floor. My chassis has pre-drilled M12 holes and welded crush tubes in the 'style hoop' which I'd planned to drop some 70mm 8.8 bolts through and mount the straps that way. I've read on here of people having to make a box of some sort to mount it to, which is then attached to the bar; anyone who's passed an IVA or other road worthiness test care to post pics of how they did it?

Wouldn't this also involve making holes in the base of the seat too? Fair point, my seats are made to take a 5/6 point harness. Originally though I used a Sabelt four point which bolted directly to the crush tubes in the bar. The biggest problem I had with the four point was getting the waist belt tight enough and low enough to sit on the abdomen, sitting across your stomach is real bad in an incident. Certainly look for a "pull up" design, these solve that problem somewhat. Schroth sell a four point that has asm, anti submarine technology. It stops you sliding under the belt in the event of a frontal. www.schrothracing.com/technology
