Hi all,
quick question I hope, I am well into a strip down of a 2000 1.8 mx5 and have r moved rear wishbones. I need to get the old bushes out...... what size is the cup on the removal tool?
cant find it anywhere and all the tools on the web have loads of sizes but very few mention mx5 or look close.
I have watched tens of videos and don’t fancy trying to fabricate a tool, just want to buy a reasonably priced one.
any recommendations or cup size to look for?
thanks in advance..
Tony

hi tj I find that the easiest way to remove the bushies is to use a blowtorch and burn the old bushies out

Tony Got any friendly garages local or that you know? I borrowed a big snap-on Bush removal tool with various different bars and cups, fastest clean way to remove all bushes in my opinion

Hi Tony, I used a piece of threaded bar and a couple of nuts and washers from wickes to do mine in the end. Hard work but got there in the end. Nigel
