I have an engine crane you can borrow James. Cheers John Cheers chap. Gonna give it a go with the grinder i might take you up on it if all else fails!!

I did my last weekend. ~2 hours in tight space, but lifted it off with an engine crane. Tried it from the back as it would be much easier to move out of garage, but the crane did not have enough leverage. Managed to lift it straight up at side and man handle the skate forward over the crane legs on jack and blocks.
then dropped to body onto a pallet I built up with heavy duty castors. It allowed me to move the body around enough to get the hi-ab that the scrappers brought to take the body a couple of days later.
big thanks to a friend that helped and loaned me the crane....I’d have really struggled with my son who I’m building with, at least 2 people, but 3 or 4makes it so much easier.

Finally got round to removing the shell this weekend. Progress has been halted by finding out im going to be a dad! So now the nursery is built back to the car. Lifted the shell off with 2 mates due to the limited space. Now time to start de greasing and chassis clean. Then to strip down the engine for inspection and rebuild!
