Hi, We've just hooked up these earths:
multi block by front left lights multi block by front right lights multi block by pedals Single wire by pedals Double wire along the mid section near handbrake Single wire from gearbox bell housing to the frame
Any others I'm missing?
So, as i wait for my battery to charge, i used another charger just to see what would work.
When connected to the battery positive wire and earth to frame I get:
Turn on lights to dipped - dash lights up, red light on Hazards work Indicators don't (guess i need the engine on for these) Rear fogs don't (Same about the engine running) When i have the dipped lights on (no front lights connected yet) and pull or push for main beams, the dash lights go out! Back to just side or dipped and the blue full beam warning light on the dash is lit. Looks like the fuel gauge works though as it dropped low since it was last on. (tank is drained) The speedo needle points to 40mph line..................
We are hoping that once the battery is up to power then we can try and get the car to crank over. If so then we can run temporary fuel lines.
We've not blocked the charcoal canister pipes yet but have cut the wires out already.
Anything we've missed here or is this normal?
Thanks. Rich and Cam

The indicators should work on just ignition
I'd get it started first and then worry about the lighting. I'm just on with it on mine and it can be quite tedious, just have to keep plugging away at it.
First point would be to check the fuses are all live when they should be. If you haven't really chopped your loom up then I wouldn't have thought you will have any major issues.

Chopped it up a fair bit actually. Carefully though one wire at a time. Will see how today goes. Might have to hit the starter with a hammer too
