I have recently bought a Sonic and now have to get to grips with it. I will be asking a number of questions over the coming weeks/months some or all of which will probably bring sighs of despair from readers, however.....
1 Where are the best jacking points and best method of jacking and safe under car working?
2 The car has the usual small windscreen. Is it possible to fit something which provides a little more protection without going to the full windscreen which spoils the look of the car?
I won't overdo the questions at this point, don't want to aggravate the 'natives'.

Congratulations on your new investment. 1. Jack anywhere on the chassis but be careful not to dent the floor from underneath. Axle stands are a must as a back up. 2. Fly screen can be cut with a jig saw from poly-carbonate, (acrylic is tougher but can crack when cutting) have it as high as you like but higher means more wind to hold and stronger mounting required. Looking just over it is probably the best you can do. Looking through it is a no no..

Many thanks for your fast reply and advice.
If I wanted to lift the car completely off the ground would I do so by lifting one side, fitting axle stands and then the other side or by lifting one end fitting axle stands and the the other end?

I have a Rocket which is like a Sonic without clothes.
I lift one end then the other.
