A few may of seen me already over on facebook
I decided to buy a part built car from a member on here.
spent the last week ordering various parts to get it started and also spending time seeing what is missing from the engine(lots) and trying to sort a poor running issue. Car will start but if the throttle is pressed it will stall. longer I've left it to warm up the less it wants to stall, still has a slight hesitation from idle but will rev properly once its above 2k~ unplugging the IACS makes no difference to how it runs. Have ordered an Air Flow Meter to see if it sorts it. Also changed the Ignitor with no effect.
so far:
Coolant temp sensors front(fan switch) rear and one for the gauge.
coolant recovery bottle.
Turbo fitting kit for a TDo4
New coil pack.
Bottom engine cam belt cover with the timing marks since all of them are missing.
Wing mirrors + Brackets for fitting.
Air Flow meter
Coil pack
Coolant reroute kit
New thermostat.
Removed exhaust system to begin fitting turbo.
Replacement Ignitor
Next Jobs are to get the radiator mounted correctly. Give the whole system a proper coolant flush since what came out was horrendous. Have a feeling I'll need to replace the rad since nothing came out of the drain hole and we had to pull the hoses to drain.
Is it possible to clean the old rad out off the car or not worth the hassle?
The fuel tank will probably be junked to, think it may bring more trouble than its worth.
If anyone could post some pics or diagrams so I could check how the fueling system is setup that would be great.
