So I planned on turning the tank 180 degrees, where and how are people who have done the same putting the fuel filler cap and pipework. I bought some flexible filler hose and planned to add an aero cap but can't see how it is possible to tighten the clamps.
Any help appreciated Cheers Dave

Dave, Do you have the ability to weld brackets onto your frame?

I do indeed, the plan was to bracket the filler neck but if I do I can't get the rear cover over it

I rotated the tank 180 and have done the pipework as shown: The fuel cap just protrudes from the cover and it is easy to remove the cover by unscrewing the fuel cap and lifting it off. However, it is quite a clumsy solution as I needed to make various brackets in order to hold the 'flexible' fuel pipe in place.

I believe the car that was shared in the "Other Vehicle" section has a miata fuel tank mounted backwards. Is there any way you could locate your fuel filler in the top front passenger side corner? I've seen a couple exocets that way, just don't remember who. Here is a link to that car. Picture link
