Definitely not a mechanical expert but have a rough idea of what I am doing! I left school back in 2009 and spent a year at a local garage doing a level 3 apprenticeship, that's about as far as my motor career goes. 7 years later I had the bright idea to bring back my love of cars and went and bought a lovely 1999 MK2 MX5. Free from rust, engine had been well looked after, new brakes and calipers just been fitted. Bargain for £700! Time to strip the mazda down to the subframe - Progress from the last week: Not a massive amount of progress but I only get to spend a few hours a night working on this, so this will probably be a slow build. Next steps this weekend are too take off front/rear bumpers, and interior wiring loom. Already looking forward to building this thing, lots of plans for it!
