Did anyone else order the 0 offset 6ULs and just receive an update that the project has been cancelled? I was told the original container was lost, then kept getting "We can't promise an update" answers from 949 racing when I asked about ETAs then just got an update that they've decided to cancel them. Does anyone have any detail on what exactly happened? At this point I'm looking at Rotas or possibly the new set offered by Exomotive depending on weight.
Is this typical of 949 racing? I feel like they've been less than forthcoming when I've asked for updates.

My experience with 949 has been hugely positive, but that goes back about a year now. Disappointing to hear this development on the 6UL's though, as they were on my wish list.

They probably cancelled them when I laughed at them and told them their wheels wouldn't fit without a huge spacer because they don't provide enough tire clearance (they wont).

They've not gone from a 0 offset wheel which should have cleared lightly modified fender stays to now doing a 15x8 13mm offset wheel. Might be better if you don't have to run fenders, but kinda screws you if you do need fenders. Similar story on the 9" wheels they're making. I can appreciate the purist approach, but have been told by multiple track day organizers I would need fenders to run with them so for now they will stay on.

So from their Facebook feed it looks like they are planning to make 15x8 +23 offset and 15x9 +12 offset for Exocets. They think there will be enough clearance but there is some controversy I was under the impression that 15x8 +36 almost works so maybe 13mm of additional clearance is enough? Maybe with a 205/50 tire? I was planning to get the zero offset 6ULs so I guess I will wait and see how these pan out. I assume the stock 16x6.5 will work just fine in the meantime? Seems like Exomotive should figure out how to get that tube an inch more inboard!

With home fabricated stays we've got et36 9" 6ULs with 27mm spacers and MEV-OEM fenders/wings.

With home fabricated stays we've got et36 9" 6ULs with 27mm spacers and MEV-OEM fenders/wings. So that's equivalent to an offset of +9, about the same as the +12 they're doing for the 15x9s. Have you taken it to the track/autocross? Any rubbing?

I am pretty bummed about this as well. I have 0 offset 8" tracklites now and needed 6mm spacers to clear the willwood brakes. I was thinking that the 6uls would clear without spacers but with a +23 offset they are going to be really close to hitting the frame. Still haven't decided what to do with my preorder.
