80 miles between fill ups and about £20 spent each time.
Gauge reads 76% when full and stays there for 20 miles before falling all too quickly to 30% where it can happily fluctuate between 5 & 30% depending on how I'm driving.
My bottle goes when it starts showing 15% as I have no idea how much is really there !

tank range can be from 100 miles per tank up to 200 per tank depending on your right foot Up 70 mph I have got 200 miles running on fumes spirited driving (track) less than 100

guage shows full when full and 3/4 full when empty ? will put this on me list of jobs, is this likely to be sender or dash calibration ?

If you've not got the focus dials could be calibration and that may be an easier fix. The focus sender is designed for a long/wide flat tank, not the small tall one you have. It's most likely the float arm not being modified. Take it out and re bend a new one using steel spring wire from eBay.

FYI The Honda accord Type R fuel pump and sender fit's perfectly into the rocket tank with ideal range of motion for the float.

I've no idea how much I'm paying per litre of premium - is it £1.33 now ? 75% of my journeys are the 7 miles to work and home so I'm probably running cold/rich for 50% of the time on a tuned 2 litre engine with throttle bodies. 21mpg sounds about right. On the trip to Stoneleigh I got 120 miles before I needed to fill up. My previous weekend car was a 4.6 V8 Marcos and my daily a 4.2 V8 VW Phaeton, both gave around 16mpg around town but neither was as much fun as the Rocket ! Martin

... can any one tell me how big is a standard mev rocket fuel tank Over the years the capacity / size of the Rocket fuel tank has increased. However by measuring the external dimensions of the tank it's relatively easy to calculate the tanks capacity. If the fuel pump is correctly fitted and sealed you should not incur fuel starvation until the last ltr of fuel is left in the tank under normal driving conditions. nigel
