Which Hubs do you buy for this TR1KE?

Hi All,

There really needs to be a comprehensive list of all the bits you need to complete your build.

If anyone can help it would be appreciated

My List so far consists of the following.

3 Point harnesses (Sparco seem a good price on eBay)
seats (Are the seats full size width ones, or do you have to get narrow seats like a Type 7)
Front Indicators (Is it best to go bulky ugly for SVA)
Front Headlights (Been looking at Double Ovals)
2 x Wheels (second hand for now)
Discs (maybe grooved not drilled)
Calipers (M16?), I am looking at Hi-Spec Ultralite.
Can the rear caliper be replaced with a combined Hi-Spec 2 pot and mechanical hand brake caliper?
Hand Brake lever (Is it just a focus one)
Do we buy a kit from MEV to extend the loom?
Although not listed, do I assume the pedalbox and all bits associated with it are complete?

Sorry to be so anal, but after my last kit seemingly including everything, I want to be well prepared with this one, I want to know I have everything sat in my garage when I collect my toy ;D

Hi Nick,

that's pretty much it. We supply a Focus handbrake lever and there are number of spot calipers out there, however, we are trialing handbrake calipers on the front and a dash mounted handbrake lever for our latest factory build tR1ke.

No need to buy a loom, you simply extend the original bike one and connect the indicators to the column supplied with the kit.

Ford Focus rear hubs are supplied with the kit attached to RTR uprights and we use st170 disks which are available as standard or drilled and grooved from the likes of EBC.

When you say you use the st170 rears I assume that these are the 280mm in a 4X108 bolt pattern?

Here in the US they never sold the st170.

Are there any spacers required to fit the Wilwood calipers to those rotors?

Which handbrake calipers are you trialing? I like that idea along with the handbrake lever on the dash.

Do you think a week is quite achievable to build a TR1KE based on me building a car in the past?

I would like to think I could place my order in January and maybe be on with building it around April unless your chassis build time is faster?

I would like to be through SVA in May and ready for Newark.

Would you advise to keep it as simple as possible for SVA and then I can trick it up after its passed?

Hi Nick,

a week may be being a bit optimistic but if you ordered in Jan you would see your kit in March (based on current orders) and should have it MSVA'd and ready for Stoneleigh

I will have to check the size of the rotors but yes they are a standard 4/108 pattern.
We are trialling Wilwoods own handbrake 4 pots and we use 18mm spacers to fit them which is the same as for the non-handbrake 4 pots.
