Some people aren't bothered about the look of STUFF, but a little attention to it can go a long way. On the MOG, the tenet 'a picture's worth many words' holds true. Things can get a little waffle-sprockety without an image or two (I tend to glaze over when things get even slightly technical). I'm sure for most this is untrue but there are builders here who are first-timers, with no mechanical background, for whom a photo, a diagram or a video will shine a light on what might have been a dark journey. So you join up, introduce yourself maybe, and that's as far as you need to go but you can change the look of the forum, alter your default profile in a number of ways, including links to social media. Even your signature (it appears below your post) can give clues to people who might help you as you go. For example, since there is variance in US State regulations, a signature could include the 2 letter State ID - no point telling you about CA regulations if you live in OH! Your signature could look like this: USA TX - Exocet Sport - 1998 NB, 1.8L. You can even use BBCode instructions on that with this result: USA TX - Exocet Sport - 1998 NB, 1.8L TurboGo to Menu>Profile>Edit Profile>Personal>Signature> type or paste entry then save. If you're a bit slippery with BBCode you can change the look and even include an image here by referencing a Photobucket (or other host) picture - careful with the size! There is also a preview button below the signature box so you can check the result before you save your changes. Because of the nature of ProBoards, I can't give examples to cut'n'paste, then mess with them - they are automatically converted so here's a pic of some code: and the result: If you struggle with any of the above give a shout and help will arrive
