I live in the East Midlands, 51 year old, wheelchair user, disabled from birth, with limited hand control. I use a foot steering system in a van, which is my third vehicle that I have had. I have always wanted a trike to ride, and after 2 failed attempts, I went to a company in Nottingham 3 years ago, with a Aprilia Mana 850 bike. They took the project on to build a reverse trike using the Mana, which would be built around my requirements so the I could drive it in the same way that I drive my van. The company and I agreed a price and time scale. Unfortunately this has over run. I am still hopeful of completing the built.

Hi, welcome, it would be fantastic if they can accommodate your specific requirements. Remember though bike engine trikes are very very fast and require skills at the wheel, hopefully this has been considered from the outset if foot steering reaction times differ from the norm. Perhaps you should start a thread in the tR1ke section, it would be great to see pictures of what you have so far. RTR products are allowed on this forum, I assume it was started there.

How close to completion is it? I would say it's 75% completed. Exosports Cars, have lost most of their mechanics so the knowledge of the Aprilia Mana has gone. The wiring from the engine needs finishing, this is causing a few problems because some people say it can't be done and others say it can be. Similarly with the fuel tank(s). I been told you need to put the pump in a cage and the easiest way is to use the standard Mana tank, which Exo have misplaced. The foot steering system has been fitting by a vehicle adaption company who I have been using since I was 25, (26yrs ago) and this will be the 4th vehicle that I've had the system fitted to. I've always wanted 3 wheels and this is my 3rd attempt on completing one, the others were standard trike setups, not the reversed configuration, so I'm confident in getting this one on the road.

Slow progress...... After deciding my build had taken long enough and a certain person couldn't give me a completion date. I decided to pull it out and finish the trike with the help of a very good friend. Having been promised all the parts to complete the build, I am still trying to get bits that are required to complete the trike, which for what ever reason are very slow at obtaining. My friend has taken my trike to his shed/garage to complete the build off for me in his own time, as well as working full time and being a volunteer for Blood Bikes. We have managed to purchase, electric power steering which was a necessary ad-on for me. It will get completed one way or another. I just don't understand, when somebody promises parts which are all bits for a standard build, why he can't get them to us, instead of me having to text & email him, making everyones life difficult and making me frustrated and stressed. Has anyone got a manual on how the nose fits in, we have offered it up but looks like it wants cutting round the suspension mounts plus it might show how it bolts on. Thanks.

Glad to here there is progress albeit slow.
I feel your pain regarding non delivery of parts having had the same issue with my Rocket kit. You would think that with an export to New Zealand they would have took the time get it right first time but no, it was a debacle.
One observation though, I don't think you should be coy in mentioning names, make it clear it was RTR, now EXO, the company run by Paul Holmes.
