OK it was hard to tell from pic..Make sure the tubes are above the lower edge of the frame rail so not to get rubbed by road trash. If below and must stay there you might fasten a long piece of alum stock 1 1/2" x 1/8" on bottom of frame to shield tubes. Nice idea cheers, will it fail IVA if they are below floor level?

Others will have to chime in on IVA regs.. I know there is something about the ends of tubes being secured to body/frame.. I always liked the idea of using 3" stand offs going up into tunnel area to put tubes onto..

This week has us stripping down brake callipers ready for blasting. (will fit new seals and pistons). Tightening all the wishbones and suspension parts ready for fitting the frame! The fitting of the frame went ok, apart from 2 front mounts are only 8mm so will need to be drilled out to suit the M12 bolts I was informed to use. All tightened down and ready for the next stage next Thursday! Also started to mount the wheel arch stays, but found a bolt had been snapped off one of the front back plate holes, so that will need to be drilled and helicoiled next week. Also have spring compressors turning up next week, so should be able to fit the nicely painted shocks!! This stage has us all FAR TOO EXCITED!!!!

So things have moved on since the last update. Suspension has been fitted, and wishbones hacked away to receive this!! Fuel lines sorted and wiring is slowly being stripped out. Car now starts, which is amazing news as we have never heard it running because I bought the rolling skate from another member off here. New callipers will be here this week, which means by the end of the week we should hopefully have a running and stopping car! Only gutting this is that Stuart no longer has the bodywork for this car, the guy I bought it off never collected it and somehow it has got lost/thrown away. Either way it's no longer with MEV so that's a bummer! plus a 12 week wait!! I have drawn up the template for the Radiator brackets and will be cutting them from Diabond this week, when the new rad turns up. (this template will be available on a fresh thread!) I am loving how this is starting to look though, I think the wheels really suit this!! and................

You are going to be replacing the tires right. Because the right rear tire is mounted to wheel to rotate in the wrong direction.. as mounted it is for the left side.. Really come along great with the build..
