Looking at the clearance issues, I wondered if the alloy arms from the later cars will retro fit? Like this one... goo.gl/images/83HEjF

Really no idea??? Seems an ideal improvement over the steel ones, both cosmetic and lighter/stronger...

I'd assume they don't fit the older subframes. The mk3 was a totally new car from the ground up I believe.
Would be happy to be wrong because they would be a nice upgrade!

I know the Mk4 was but I thought the mk3 was basically the same?

They look very similar, guessing it would come down to dimensions. I have some mk2.5 ones off the car at the moment. So if someone would happen to have mk3 ones to measure then we could get to the bottom of it?

Good idea but sadly not a good fit. They are not cheap either even second hand with a part worn ball joint. We are doing a production run of replacement bones, see the prototypes in the picture. Much lighter than standard MX5 units, better looking too. They use a common top ball and standard poly bushes can be used. Not quick or easy to make though, in fact I can make a chassis in the same time as a set of bones. Only available to Exocet customers and are priced at £760 plus VAT and postage per set of 8. Very much lower than those available in the US. You can reserve your set now by sending £100 to our paypal account which is named the same as the MEV email.

Mk3 mx5 don't share anything in common to the mk1/mk2 totally different cars infact they have more in common too a rx8 over the mk1/mk2.
