You need a big air compressor to do any decent blasting. The compressor will cost far more than the blasting kit. Where I am we have a DIY sandblasting place where you can bring whatever you want and use their sandblasting equipment. It is much cheaper than buying the gear to do the job yourself. I took an entire VW golf rally car there and blasted the entire chassis in 2.5 hours.
