I had the same issue as the morgster, except i had cut away the connector before I realized the battery was not charging. The connector is for the grey wire from the generator to the ECU. I cut the wire and connected it straight to ECU and it worked.

Ok having real trouble in finding this connector , i have followed it all around and dont have any connectors with that colour wire going to it(according to themogster picture), I havn't cut any connectors off so i am a little confused, the only connectors thats left are for heater controls, stereo, seats and seat belts. where else can I look, I take the wire colour should be the same coming off of the alternator?.
Any help much appreciated

The wire is grey/red, check continuity between the grey/red wire coming from the control module and the grey/red at the generator.
