Anyone seen or done one ?
I was going to just put my old seat back in the passenger side for when the car is finished I can take my daughter for a drive, but realized yesterday that my 93 donor don't have the LATCH system ( required after 2002 ). Also the Sport chassis doesn't have mounts for the OEM style seat belt at the top ( only BASE does, or it need to be custom welded in for Sport / Race ).
My plan B was to get a 18" Kirkey ( that my carseat will fit into ) and custom weld some tabs for the LATCH hook ups, however, I'm worried that if anything happens, they'll blame those custom tabs even if its not the failure point.
I think at this point my only option, Plan C, is buying a 2002+ OEM seat that came with those hooks ( NC? ).
Putting this out here hoping to get more ideas of if anyone have seen it done differently before.

Sorry, a bit confused here, are you asking about fitting a child seat onto the standard seat?

Yup, I was going to put the old OEM miata passenger side seat from my donor car into the exo and attach a child seat to it .. but that't not going to work due to not having the LATCH system.
Plan B was to replace donor OEM seat with a Kirkey and have a LATCH style tab welded on. Not sure if that will be legal.
Plan C was to buy a new OEM seat from a 2002+ model year miata ( or even non miata ).

Is the latch (isofix we call it here) system a legal requirement...my kids are older now (4 &6) and so are out of isofix seats. I'm planning on using a booster seat and a 5 point harness.
If they're too young for that then plan C seems the best and most cost effective way to go.

How are you going to extend the pedals so she can work them?
