Paul. One of my buddies wanted to build his own chassis for an MX5 and asked for advice on here. Ultimately, he was banned from this site, including an IP address block. From what he said, he didn't promote his build or have a build page on here, but must have made one of the moderators mad. Understandably, this site is for MEV products, so they don't allow non-MEV builds. I can understand why you would seek information on here, since your car is going to be Miata based. You might get more support from the Exocet owners club on facebook. The information on the Exocet owners facebook page does not appear to be censored or have any limits of what topics can be discussed. Hope this helps.

jsmith the moderators discussed appriate action which was basically to advise him of the forums objectives (MEV vehicles), we saw no reason to ban him at this stage. Not 100% sure but it looks like a self deletion. Regarding your mate, I presume that was Del, I was the moderator he had the run in with. The issue was his continued argument over why he could not have a non MEV diary, he challenged every statement, rule and comment made to him. However once again, as far as I'm aware he self deleted. As a forum dedicated to vehicles designed by MEV the inclusion of non MEV vehicles is pointless, whilst some members do have cross design experience I would suggest the majority don't thus introducing other random designs doesn't really serve a purpose. The best place for such builds is cross platform forums which would have members with wider experience. However anyone can be a member here, they don't need a MEV to be a member.

Yes, that's him, Del! Pretty sure Del didn't self delete. He said he cannot even view the MEV site from his computer because of an IP address block. He has had me look up a couple things for him on here. If he could go to this website, he wouldn't need me to do it. Hopefully there is not a rule against looking up information for deleted members. I don't want to get deleted too. Maybe you could check with the other mods and see if they can un-ban him, since his car is completed. He is a huge fan of the MEV product line.
