Just my .02 cents I would go solid red like frame.. I think carbon finish would be to far from the cluster and look like it was just thrown at it..stick out not flowing.. Just me.. me too

Looks like I'll make the wing red, at a later date.
Today I managed to get a set of Mk 1 seat belt stalks / receivers for £2 off eBay, as the original Mk2.5 don't seem to have insufficient length. Should mean I can sort seating out....

Make sure they latch together and lock/release before starting to install them I thought they were different size.. If they don't fit maybe you can get a pair of seat belt extenders..

Just read this from the start, very informative and helpful to newbies like me. Keep up the good work.

Think I've found Hand Brake Retaining Clip on eBay to finish cable fit to transmission tunnel. "HEL Performance Brake Hose Retaining Clips (4 Pack) bit.ly/1kpDFTY"

I spent ages looking for these. Could not find them anywhere. Ended up getting some from a motor sport friend who was redoing brake lines.
Good find.

Tom, thanks - fingers crossed they work - just trying to share info on any finds for awkward bits.
George made a query on the Mark 1 Seat Belt Recievers / Stalks interlocking with the Mark 2.5 Seat Belts. I can confirm that they work together okay. Seats now fitted.

Hi mate, when you ordered your white side panels did you give them the exact RAL code for the correct colour?

Tim You are lucky as there must be 100's of shades of white mate, I'll email MEV and see if they can give me the RAL code for the yellow they do as I want to wrap a few bits of mine to match the grp. Cheers Tim

Can anyone suggest someone / a business that I could get to complete my car ?
I am working away from home, which could be the case for the next 2/3 years & I want to get the car on the road.
Any suggestions pm me or text on 07712854728 or tlightfoot@hotmail.co.uk.
My location is Stratford, Warwickshire.

Did a search on google for 'Kit car finishers Stratford' and this one came up. www.gpacars.co.uk Not sure how close they are to you. Obviously I'm not recommending them but there are loads of companies out there and most will collect so unless you need the company local it isn't vital. Good luck. Hope you find someone to finish it for you.

I reckon John Gilbert or you Trident should start a business to finish kit cars or build them for customers.

Mate that's a very nice comment to make and I appreciate your kind words but it's taken me about three and a half years to get to where I am now and still not finished. I don't think it would be a very viable business. Mind you … No may be not.
