When are your going to do a range test.

The sums are;
24 100Ah cells each charged up to 3.65v but can go safely down to 2.5v and we peak at 98.5 and charge before we reach 60v off load.
When cruising at 50 MPH it draws around 25-30 amps on the flat so the theory is a range of 4 hours at 50 mph = 200 miles. In practice the low drag shape and low rolling resistance tyres has it flying up hills and regenerating on the way down so the range is going to be in excess of 200 miles. Even a smaller pack with a range of say 100 miles would get me to work and back for 2 weeks. Now that would have been a cheaper plan!

That's an impressive range and economy.
However does it not draw more current when going up hills which cannot be fully recovered going down the other side thus reducing, not increasing, rage?

So EVs make you angry going downhill and you calm down when you crest the summit?

That's an impressive range and economy. However does it not draw more current when going up hills which cannot be fully recovered going down the other side thus reducing, not increasing, rage? Unfortunately despite great efforts I have failed at regaining the same amount of power going down as used going up. Gosh if I cracked that one then sod kit cars for a living. Perpetual motion is the way to go! Range is merely personal choice. Stick a bigger pack in and it will go further, reduce weight, drag and creature comfarts and it will go even further. Carrying extra weight due to an unnecessarily large pack is counter productive. A smaller, lighter cheaper pack that does the range you need for say a few days is the way to go. Tesla on the other hand ensure maximum inefficiency by offering a bash the battery option called "insane mode" It is absolutely awesome, I showed a 911 a set of clean heals at the lights on a test drive. But also absolutely ridiculous for a car that is supposed to help save the planet. I will stick with my 5.0 V8 ta. The Battmobile helps me balance my carbon footprint. Anyone spotted the error yet? From Wiki; the motion of a hypothetical machine which, once activated, would run forever unless subject to an external force or to wear. "the age-old quest for the secret of perpetual motion"

It is my task here and in life to notice everything and, rather than merely pointing to any typographical error, bring it to the attention of the poster in a jocular fashion so as to avoid any possible embarrassment or discomfart. Nicola Tesla did some wacky stuff that may be relevant to EVs - I found this which led me to lots more.
