I felt I should post this as I believe it is the first E-trike to pass the MSVA test. Hundreds if not thousands of plan sets have been supplied over a number of years now but surprisingly I am not aware of any that have been completed and made road legal apart from my original prototype. I submitted my latest version for MSVA and it passed with no issues. The test is quick, easy and cheap at only £85. The only point I struggled with was tyres. Fortunately we went prepared! What I have never noticed is that most bike tyres and labelled front or rear. I had a rear type on the front. Ooops, I should know better. The inspector was surprisingly keen on tyres, direction of rotation, E marks, speed rating and load rating, all very important. So if you are building an E-trike, don't let the road legalities bother you. At under 1300mm wide you only need one headlight which leaves lots of styling options open, cyclops anyone?
