So I got my car to scale today and it came in at 1690 lbs... I was shocked. These were always advertised as the 1450 - 1550 lb range.
Has anyone with a race chassis and a turbo'd engine weighed their setup?
The only thing I have done differently than most builds is add a full safety glass windshield which weights in at 45 lbs.
Other things to note: I have the stock miata battery. Stock seats Stock belts Begi intake manifold (lighter than stock) All fenders on 3/4 of a tank of gas at the time. 3" stainless exhaust with cat and muffler.

A N/A sport build is likely right around 1500lbs, add in the rest of the cage, stock battery, stock seats, turbo kit (easy 50lbs), and windshield and 200lbs is probably about right for an increase in weight.
Still about 300-400# lighter than a fully stripped/gutted miata with the same mods.

As btd said, your numbers make sense.
You add almost 50 pounds with the windshield, stock seats probably weigh around 30 lbs each (after market may be 20 or less), turbo kit adds a bit, and the race chassis adds a bit.
If it wasn't for that stuff youd be right around 1500 lbs I think.
If you have a 1.8 donor, it is a bit heavier too. The 1.8 diff weighs more.

NA2 sport chassis, no windshield, a couple gallons of gas: 1489lbs. Normally aspirated, Racing Beat midpipe, header, and muffler delete pipe.
