So for my Exocet build, I have cut out about 75% or more of the stock body harness, leaving a large number of circuits for the interior fuse box with cut-off wires hanging out (I think I am using only 4 of the outputs from the interior fuse box for the car: the blue/red room wire that powers the ECU, the yellow cigar wire, which I am going to use to power a dual USB charging port, black/yellow Meter Power for powering the Dash2, and black/white engine controls). It was both late and dark last night when I was trying to figure it out, and I couldn't quite figure out how to free the pins. Google-fu is failing me, can someone describe what needs to be done to remove the excess wire stubs?

Getting them out is a PITA - they are designed to not back out when fuses a pushed in, if I remember right there are 2 latches that have to be released.

Thanks snowbird1 - I'll be taking another look tonight, but I think at this point I am just going to buy an 8 position fuse holder and get rid of the original block since I am only using a few of the outputs.

Just looked at one in the garage - the latch is part of the plastic fuse block, access it from the fuse side, if you have an empty slot it is visible towards the center of the fuse. You will need a small pick.
BTW if you live in an area where there are street sweepers, they shed the steel bristles, you can usually fine a couple and they make great picks!

Nice tip. I have a pick set that I have used for the rest of the harness, I just couldn't see anything in the dark inside the black housing. I think it will be cleaner and easier to just go with the 8 position block I found for like $10 an Amazon, it will be here tomorrow. Have plenty to do tonight with brake lines, keyless ignition wiring, mounting dash pod, etc.
