This is a question for the US based exocets.
I received my kit back in November I think. When I go it I opened everything up to check for damage and everything looked good. The one thing I did't fully open was the fenders. I only opened one of them to check them out and it looked good so I put everything away for safe keeping.
Now that it's time to put the fenders on I'm looking at the 3 I didn't open and they all have chips out of them.
Did anyone else have this issue? I have 1 flawless fender, 1 with 2 chips, and 2 with many chips / a gash.
Kind of a bummer as I'm a few weeks out from getting it inspected.

Honestly they'll look worse after a few weeks of having them mounted. Have them painted and wrapped, or just deal.

Don't settle for that, you paid good money for the kit and most likely a lot of people are going to be looking at it. Kevin is great to work with and will hopefully help you out. I had to return my gauge cluster for a new one since the original was damaged during the finishing process.

Mine had some chips too. After a week of driving they have way more.
If you do get new flawless fenders, you need to wrap them to keep them that way.

Maybe try plasti-dip?

I never realized the body work was going to be so fragile. At least I got mine in white so the chips blend in a bit.

I wouldn't really say fragile, but the rear fenders get blasted with rocks . any normal finish or paint would have the same problem. It is their location, not finish, that makes them vulnerable.

Look at any "Super 7" ... you will see rock protectors all over the rear fenders, as one example, because of exactly this.

Yeah, it's too late for mine. I am waiting for them to get bad and then going to try wrapping with vinyl.

I'd like to have the chance to protect them before they are all damaged though. Would kind of suck to put 3M over a fender that is already heavily chipped.

Ditch the fiberglass fenders and replace them with Aluminum fenders.
